THE SMOOTHIE ETHOS
Smoothie was created to make waxing more accessible to men. Not many beauticians in Glasgow have a true and full treatment list for men, and the ones that do often charge a premium for over what they charge ladies for the same treatment. We are also aware that a lot of men often find the experience or even the thought of going to a salon orientated towards the needs and tastes of female clients daunting or uncomfortable. At Smoothie, we wanted to change that. We are a mobile waxing company that brings our services to you. Treatments are in the comfort and privacy of your own home where you can feel relaxed and reassured with your professional and experienced waxer. We have created a treatment list which is tailored to the needs of male clients and we have priced them competitively to ensure our customers are able to access the great benefits of waxing regularly. We hope the way we run Smoothie allows our clients to feel valued, welcome and appreciated in everything we do.

At Smoothie, we guarantee discretion and privacy with every booking. Your treatments are never judged or discussed with anyone other than you and you can rest assured your waxer is only interested in providing you with an excellent wax. In the privacy of your own home, you can feel relaxed and comfortable with a professional aesthetician.

We specialise in men’s waxing treatments and have been specifically trained in the needs of male clients. We use the appropriate products and techniques to achieve the best results on men’s bodies. We have tailored our treatments to reflect the areas our male clients most need waxed and can answer any questions you have about the waxing we provide at any time.

Regardless of sexuality or gender identity, we always provide discrete, sensitive and private services. Your waxer will be a welcoming, understanding and approachable ally of the community who will always make their clients feel comfortable and valued. All of our treatments are available to everyone we are trained and insured to perform them on. Although we specialise in male waxing, our services are available to all genders.
(Please note, regardless of a clients gender identity, our waxers are not trained in vaginal intimate waxing and therefor legally cannot perform these treatments.)
MOBILE WAXING
We are a mobile waxing service who bring all of the equipment and products necessary for your treatment to you. We know that many of our clients feel more comfortable in the privacy of their own home for treatments and we promise a professional waxing service with comfort and discretion.

Equipment for trimming and blending any hair a client wants left after a treatment.

WHAT YOU PROVIDE

A clear, clean and tidy space for your waxer to set up their equipment.

Access to standard wall socket for electrical equipment.

A space where you feel comfortable for the treatment to take place, free from other members of your household you do not wish to be present.
BOOKINGS & CANCELLATIONS
We are an appointment based, mobile waxing service and all bookings must be made through our online booking system.
To secure a booking, we require a 50% deposit paid through our online booking system. The balance of your treatment is payable at your appointment.
All new clients require a pre-treatment consultation to assess if waxing will be appropriate for you which will be carried out via video call. If for any reason Smoothie deems waxing to be an inappropriate or unsafe treatment for you, a refund of your deposit will be immediately processed and we will provide you with advice to hopefully facilitate an appointment in the future.
Cancellations made more than 24hrs before an appointment time will incur no cancellation fee and your deposit will be refunded.
Cancellations less than 24hrs of your appointment or a client not being home at the time of an appointment will be charged at 100% of the deposit paid for the reserved services.
All bookings and cancellations are subject to our Terms and Conditions.
COVID-19
We always take the hygiene, safety and well-being of both our clients and our waxers very seriously and this is especially important during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. We always operate under the current government guidelines and always keep our clients updated if any developments will have an impact on their appointments.
All of our pre-appointment consultations are currently conducted via video call on a platform that is convenient to you to minimise unnecessary contact with clients.
We can operate our services when a clients home address falls under Levels 0 to 3. We operate the following policies and it is mandatory that a client and waxer follows the guidelines for the treatment to go ahead:

Face coverings must be worn at all times by both the client and your waxer when your waxer is in your home. We cannot perform any treatment which would involve the removal of face coverings.

We ask that any windows be opened to allow ventilation in the room where a treatment is taking place.

We ask clients and our waxers to wash hands thoroughly before the treatment begins and regularly use hand sanitiser.

Your waxer will establish who will be present for the treatment and there should only be themselves and the client in the room unless absolutely necessary.

Your waxer should only come into contact with other members of your household if absolutely necessary and should always maintain physical distancing from them.

Your waxer cannot enter your home if you or a member of your household is self-isolating or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 including:

a new continuous cough,
-
fever/high temperature,
-
loss of, or change in, sense of smell or taste.

On top of these measures, we always guarantee that:

Our waxers regularly self-test for COVID-19 using lateral flow tests.

All of our equipment we use during your appointment is either sterilised, disinfected or single use.

We never double-dip into our wax during the treatment and ensure it is always contamination free.

Our surfaces and equipment are thoroughly cleaned before and after a client comes into contact with them.

All of our linens and towels are either disposable or washed at at least 60ºC after use.

Your waxer will always wear a new pair of disposable gloves for your treatment.
